CEC–Ohio’s 2026 Summer Conference will focus on rebooting professional practice, refreshing knowledge and skills, and reigniting passion for special education. Through high-quality professional learning and meaningful collaboration, the conference will provide opportunities for educators and advocates to connect and strengthen their impact on individuals with exceptionalities across Ohio.
Keynote Speaker
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Temple Grandin (templegrandin.com) as our keynote speaker for this summer conference. Temple is a widely respected, world-renowned autism advocate, educator, and author known for advancing understanding of autism through both research and lived experience. Her work challenges educators to think differently about inclusion, systems, and strengths, offering insights that are both practical and inspiring.
Workshops, Breakout Sessions & Poster Presentations
This year, Monday, June 15th will be a full day dedicated to specialized workshops and poster presentations. Then, on Tuesday, June 16th, not only will Dr. Temple Grandin present, but attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in engaging breakout sessions featuring experts, practitioners, and researchers from across Ohio.
Presentation and workshop topics will be forthcoming.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
The CEC-Ohio Board is pleased to invite proposals for presentations at the CEC-Ohio 2026 Summer Conference.
This year, proposers may select from three session formats (indicate in form): (1) a 90-minute interactive workshop, (2) a visual poster session highlighting practice or applied research, or (3) a one-hour concurrent session focused on research-to-practice, panel discussion, or interactive learning.
